Alcoholic Drink Tools
Tools that may be needed to create alcoholic drinks.
- Barspoon
- Extra long twisted spoon for mixing drinks.
- Blender
- Used to make frozen drinks.
- Can and Bottle Openers
- Used to open bottles and puncture cans (such as fruit juice or coconut cream).
- Champagne stopper
- A stopper equipped with a spring to keep the bubbles in the bottle.
- Corkscrew
- Opens wine, bottles, and cans.
- Fruit juice extractor
- Ice bucket
- Used to keep ice frozen longer.
- Jigger/Pony
- Used for measuring. Measures 1 1/2 ounces on the jigger side, and 1 ounce on the pony side.
- Measuring cup and spoons
- Mixing glass
- Used for mixing stirred drinks.
- Muddler
- Used to crush mint and muddle sugar and fruit, usually made out of wood or ceramic.
- Napkins
- Paring knife
- Used for fruit. Ideally used with a cutting board.
- Pitcher
- Used for fruit juice, Bloody Mary mix, or water.
- Straws
- Served with cocktails and blended drinks.
- Shaker set
- Used for shaken drinks. Two flat bottomed cones that fit inside each other.
- Strainer
- Metal and wire tool that fits over the shaker so chilled drinks can be poured into a glass without the ice cubes.
- Swizzle sticks
- Used for mixing instead of a spoon.
